After tossing in a load of laundry, I headed over to the cemetery with my camera to capture the first snow of the season. It's so pretty! We didn't get much, maybe an inch; just enough to frost everything, but not enough to have to shovel.











It's actually not all that cold today; it's already starting to melt. Soon it will be gone, but I'm sure we'll get plenty more before winter is over.

As luck would have it I did make it for the winter walk in the Indian Ladder orchards at the base of the Helderbergs today...but I forgot to bring my camera! (it was kinda last minute so I was rushing to get changed)

I will have to get back there this month and take pic, it is lovely there right now. So many great photo ops, apple trees with single red apples, piles of frosty pumpkins, bare branches against the sere landscape...I love winter.
