Jeez louise, you'd think from the news reports that we're expecting another ice age. It's just a couple of days of cold weather, folks! And not nearly as cold as the midwest is getting! I'm not looking forward to it, but I'm not particularly worried, either. Why must the news sensationalize everything? Sheesh.

Last I heard, the *high* on Friday is supposed to be 6 degrees. Fahrenheit. o_O

I remember about a week or two of twenty below back in 1990(?). It stayed so cold for so long that one almost got used to it, if one bundled up properly.

At least those twenties (above) they're predicting for the weekend will feel relatively warm. :)

I think they do it because people are dolts. I frequently see people wondering around outside in 15 degree weather without coats.
