The sun finally came out early this afternoon, so I headed down to the woods for a jaunt. A lot has melted since last week, but the snow is still pretty deep and slippery. It's going to take more than a couple of nice days to make that go away.



I stomped through deep, ice-encrusted snow to get this one:

The ice on the river is starting to break up:





It feels so good to get outside again!

Love that first picture with the snow, but warm tones on the trees. And the blue sky looks great reflected in the water.
