stretching muscles

I made it out twice today: first, down to the library, and later, over to Grandmothers' Garden. It was breezy and cold, but sunny, and it felt good to get out.

Oh! And I saw what appeared to be the tips of daffodils poking out of the ground at the front of my building! That was cheering. Made up for the ice on parts of the sidewalk.

I've been doing a lot of writing this week, mostly in short bursts like character sketches, and scenes for ideas that have been brewing. It feels good to stretch those muscles, too. :)

Lovely picture. Is there a story behind it? I'm fascinated with it...and also the winged hourglass.

Daffodils and crocus are always the first to peek out, aren't they?

The bird and the hourglass are both from a sundial, and I've taken lots of pictures of it over the years.

Usually yes, on the daffodils & crocus. I did look for crocus, but there was too much snow.
