I went down to the woods today, but I don't think I'll be going back until there's been some significant melting; the compacted and partially melted snow on the paths has turned to ice, rutted with footprints and hard to navigate. I had a couple of close calls, and I don't relish falling on ice far out in the woods. That would be bad.

The river, as always, was serene and lovely.



The ice is retreating somewhat.



The little stream has also retreated, leaving patterns in the sand.



There is a bit of green there, though.



Not as warm as yesterday, with snow on the way tomorrow, it was good to get out today. It looks as though I may get snowed in on Monday!
