is it the weekend yet?

One more day, then I'm off for three. I can make it... I haven't been sleeping well the past couple of nights. Stress will do that.
I had a nice walk down to the library after supper. I've been on a short story kick lately (ironically, it seems, since I've been moved to write longer pieces), and got out the new Peter S. Beagle collection, and one from Truman Capote. The former is one of my favorites, and the latter is one whom I've wanted to read but can never remember when I go to the library. Until today, anyway.
The sun dipped below the horizon on the way back, and lit the wispy clouds in a peculiar pale orange color that made me think of my early childhood, but I couldn't quite remember what it was. A crayon? Something to eat? A piece of clothing? Whatever it was, it was buried quite deeply. I turned around just before reaching the driveway, and saw the nearly-full moon topping the trees to the east. Just magnificent.
I think a bit of reading and an early bedtime tonight.
