What a nice little Ren Faire! We had a lovely time, met all sorts of interesting people, and handed out/collected tons of business cards for our Faire. Unfortunately, we had a 3-year-old with us, and he got cranky a couple of times. But for the most part, we had fun. The weather was perfect. It was at a fairgrounds in a lovely spot outside Brattleboro. I got lots of ideas! Our flunky, Justin, was also there, and he happened to have a notebook. So I gave him lots of things to write down. Hooray for flunkies!

There were a lot of terrific performers, and some really nice merchants I hadn't seen before. Hopefully we generated some buzz for our Faire. We even got recognized by one person! That was pretty cool.

I never did find the passes, which disappointed the others a bit, but they got over it. Fortunately, it's not an expensive Faire. Only $12 to get in, compared to over $20 at King Richard's Faire.

When you first go through the gate, they had a booth selling the usual t-shirts and mugs, but they also had some practical things like sunscreen, batteries, and disposable cameras. Snapped that idea right up! Justin has it in his book. :)

Someone was selling parasols, which I indulged in after I realized I hadn't sunscreened the back of my neck. Still not used to having shorter hair! Next time I see those at Job Lot for $2, I'm getting some. What a fabulous idea.

Damon bought a beautiful ceramic dumbek from this really cool guy that I hope will come to our Faire. He had an impromptu drum session with folks hanging out in his shop, and this young flower child played the didge and sang a song. It was just like being at Brushwood! Really put me in the mood. In a week, I'll be there!
