Thursday night at Brushwood, the beautiful Susan hosted the second annual JP Memorial Lingerie & Chocolate Party. It was girls only. We all got decked out in our most fabulous outfits and headed over to Chez Susan, which was softly lit with paper lanterns. The bar was all set up, and we even had our own bartender. His name is River, and he reminded me of Jack from Will & Grace, only nice. The cutest little fairy ever, and he even had horns! Good bartender, too; he makes one mean cosmo. The girls drifted in, and we drank & ate brownies with whipped cream, and got very silly. JP would have loved it. I ran back to camp to get the Weird Al CD he had made for me years ago. It's one of my most prized possessions now. I was wearing the silver locket with his ashes in it, too, so he was sort of there with us. It was a fitting tribute to our favorite enabler.

Earlier that day, the new Rob was swearing that someone told him he was supposed to crash the party. We all told him firmly no. So he decided instead to go to Buffalo for wings, which he did. Silly boy! He & original Rob also went to Niagara Falls because they missed their exit. Silly boys!

Every man that tried to come into the party was soundly drummed out. Tigger came back, though, with mini Toblerones he had brought from Paris, so he was forgiven. But we sent him away. Bruce was given a beer and told to leave. It was funny to hear a dozen women screaming and pummeling any man that dared come near!

I hadn't really brought any lingerie, but I did find a gorgeous velvet leopard-print robe at Judith's booth the day before, which JP whispered in my ear to buy. And I had a pair of the leopard-print knickers he had given me for my birthday a few years ago. So I wore those with a black velvet tank top. It was an appropriate outfit for the occasion!

I had brought the last of the WWJPD (What Would JP Do) bracelets with me, which I gave to the Daltons. Cate promised to put one on the ancestor altar for me. We were talking about how that saying came about on the way to his funeral, and someone (Peg, I think) came up with the phrase "JP made me do it," which we decided should be on buttons. So maybe next year, we'll have those to give out.

Love you, JP! Miss you!

That sounds wonderful, and a fitting token to the man that I came to respect. *sigh* I so {edit} miss JP.

If the men were going to have a tribute party for JP is should be kilts, sharp toys and good scotch.

Wish that I could have been there.
