another grey day

Yesterday's sunshine is gone, and it was grey all day. I went out for a walk anyway, because tomorrow is going to be rainy and I'll be stuck indoors all day. I did take some pictures, but the computer is being obstinate and won't let me upload them. Hmph. I'll get them uploaded from work tomorrow.

I didn't sleep very well last night, because I dreamed I heard the door opening and woke up with a pounding heart. I had to get up and check, of course, and all was fine. After I finally got back to sleep, crazy neighbor started with his screaming, and that was that. I was up for at least an hour. I hate that guy. At least it wasn't a worknight.

I managed to get a load of laundry done before the rain started coming down too hard, but it was just at freezing and my step was a bit slippery. Eek. I'm glad I have nowhere to go tonight. It's a hot bath and a good book sort of night.

Oh, that's terrifying! Even once you turn on all the lights and see for yourself all is well, it's so hard to get back to sleep. Once in my old apt, some jerk rang my doorbell at 4AM. Scared the bejesus out of me, of course, nobody was there when I got up and peeked through the peekhole. I was sure it was some confused drunk guy, but it took a good long while to fall back asleep.
Hope tonight is quiet and stress-free.
