First it was the cover of a book. Then it was a print from something I had entered in a contest. Last week, corachaos tells me that I should try selling my photos as stock. Then today, they asked me if I would take pictures tonight at our Hometown Heroes banquet because none of the news staff can make it, and they think I take better pictures, anyway.

Sheesh, it's almost enough to give a gal a big head. *g*

Don't worry, I won't get too big for my britches. I know better. ;)

Oh, which reminds me: another coworker suggested that I should offer my services to people who are selling their homes, taking pictures for website listings. I should revisit that.

I want to work in a hiatus from editing to work on getting the photography up as a business.

I don't know if it's anything you'd be interested in doing, but a friend of mine has gotten her foot in the door with a cool photography idea that I bet you'd be good at too. She does photography for lower-budget weddings and other events like that. She doesn't offer prints, just discs of all the shots which they can then take to get whichever ones they want prints from. She was really good at it and the people who hired her were grateful for a reliable option that didn't involve taking out a mortgage.

That's something I'd consider if I had a DSLR camera, and a little more practice. Someday! :)
