I finally made it to Trader Joe's today. I decided to go to the one in West Hartford, CT instead of the one in Hadley, just to try something different. It's not that much farther away, and a very pleasant drive through several pretty towns. I had a gift certificate that a friend (thanks, J!) gave to me for helping her with a brochure.

About halfway there I passed a Bruegger's, so I stopped there on the way home for bagels & cream cheese for this week's breakfasts. I miss having both TJ's and Bruegger's nearby.

This afternoon I took a walk over to Grandmothers' Garden, where the peonies are coming up. I saw one that had a little plastic marker with a picture, and I'm looking forward to it blooming because it's a deep rose color.

I had a nice, peaceful Earth Hour last night. I wrote for a bit, took a couple of pictures, and decided to listen to my iPod for a while because I rarely just listen to music anymore.

My peonies are sprouting too. I should see if I can get some pictures of them. So far I've been shooting crocus.

I adore the picture of the candles. It's so calming, a perfect symbol of Earth Hour.

Maybe it's the start of Spring, but I've made a resolution to listen to more music for its own sake. I feel like it gives me a chance to meditate and re-charge. Plus, a recent conversation with Apollo included a discussion about music?

Well, right now I'm working on two projects. One is fiction, a ghost story of sorts. The other is nonfiction, and will hopefully become a book someday. I'd be happy to discuss it offline, but I don't want to post anything about it just yet! :)
