forest, originally uploaded by Lizzie~Belle.

I love grape hyacinths. I found this little forest of them at the cemetery this evening. They're so cute, and so cheerful. I love how they escape their plantings and pop up a few feet away.

Also: the apple trees are starting to bloom.

It's supposed to rain for the next couple/few days. It's just as well; I have a whole lot of reading and writing to do. I do hope there are at least a few rain-free daylight hours this weekend, though. I get cabin fever something fierce, especially when spring is in the air!

grape hyacinths remind me of bluebonnets. (they've been going crazy this year because we've had good rain.) funny thing, spring is my second favorite time of year next to fall. :)

I'm not sure if bluebonnets grow here, but I've always wanted to try growing them.

How lovely. Thank you for sharing. You made me smile for the first time today.

Do you have blue bells in your area?

Oh good! I love making people smile. :)

I'm not sure if they grow here! I should find out.

Wow!! Love the trees!!

I have just one teensy-weensy clump of grape hyacinths in my garden. I'm feeling distinctly inadequate.

If they're anything like these, they'll spread. ;)

I think the landscaper that worked on our yard last fall likes grape hyacinth a lot, too, because they're popping up everywhere!

One of the things I love about the spring in the north east is how each successive week something new blooms or starts to turn green. It is fun to see it happen and your photos reflect it so well.

Thanks! I was thinking much the same thing the other day. :)
