I drove up to the park because I was worried about my toe. It seemed fine, so I just went for an extra-long walk once I got there. More flowers, more greenery, more spring!


I found a patch of lichen that resembled an owl:

I found a secret message left for someone in a dead tree. I didn't peek, since the message wasn't for me.

On a path I've been down dozens of times, I noticed a secret hideaway a few yards into the woods.

I spied a great twisted vine climbing a tree:

i dont think you *need* GPS - it's something my ex-girlfriend does and the directions she gets from the websites are often cryptic rather than exact, or will say things like 'in the bush at the top of such-and-such cliff'.

obviously some will be geared towards GPS systems, but some appear to be just a more wider-reaching treasure-hunt type 'game' effect.

and usually, even if she doesn't end up finding what she's looking for, she comes away with a whole host of lovely pictures! she seems to take almost as many pictures as you do :)
