I had a very mellow day, after a raucous and late night at the barn party. Snoo was in town, which of course meant there was pole dancing. Gosh, that grrl is talented! *g* (And no, there are no pix of that, sorry!)
Even though it rained (mostly drizzle), there was a good turnout, and we had a nice time. For some reason though, I ended up with a tummyache, which greatly impeded my ability to eat and drink all the wonderful things people brought. Some antacid and lots of water helped, and I ended up staying up until nearly 2:00. Yeah, I know! Extremely late for me.
All that water of course got me up at around seven, so I hit the road knowing it would be hours before everyone else emerged. I took a nap after watching Sunday Morning, then walked down to the woods where it was misty and quiet.
This huge fungus was at the base of the red oak, which looks to be quite dead now. My hand is for scale.
This is what those gorgeous peonies look like now:
Kind of alien-looking, aren't they? *g*
This little fruit tree (it isn't even as tall as I am) had some sort of fruit on it. I thought at first they were figs, but I think now that they are peaches.
I'm quite wiped out, but it was a nice weekend. It was good to see so many friends. I love my friends. :)
