The day started out with freezing rain, the world coated in ice. It eventually turned to plain rain, which came down in buckets. I took a nap, did laundry, puttered around the house.

As I brought in the last load of laundry, the rain had stopped so I went for a walk. It was starting to get dark, and the holiday lights were pretty.






After uploading the pictures, I decided to walk downtown to see the lights there. It was 55 degrees! How could I waste that?







Very pretty, indeed. The parking lot down at the mill was all misty, and I could hear the falls behind it. Then, it started to rain again. Whoops. I got a bit damp, but it was worth it. How many nights in December can you go walking without a hat and gloves? OK, a hat would have been handy, but I didn't mind. It was a lovely evening's walk.

Looking at lights always puts me in a holiday mood. Especially as we get closer to the holiday!
