Thank goodness I only have to work a day and a half this week, because it is deadly dull in here. I'm also really glad I wasn't here yesterday, because the heat wasn't working in the morning, and I'm told it was 52 degrees in the office. O_o

One year ago today, I got my new camera. Tomorrow, I will have completed my 365 project. I'm starting to think about what the next project will be; it won't be a 365, but probably a series of smaller projects. I'd like to do a colors week or month like [livejournal.com profile] heleninwales did a while back; that looks like fun.

Any suggestions? What would you like to see me take pictures of for a week or a month?

I'd love to see a "color" project! I'd also love to see a theme (e.g.: Swans, where you take pictures of your old friend, but also of other items that have pictures of swans, or people swanning about or whatnot...) And, as long as I'm keeping you busy (::grin::) I'd love to see more series - trees at different times of the year, or the same plant in the same garden at different times...

Ooh, good ideas! I especially like the variations on a theme idea. Thanks!

I like the color project a lot. Work your way through the rainbow - red on Monday, orange on Tuesday, etc.

I'd also love to see a food project. What's on your plate? What's in your stores? What's at the farmer's market? Or an animal project ... what animals do you see in a week? Where are they, and what are they doing? A cloud project ... a week of various cloud formations would be fun.

I love the work you've done in photographing the same scene through the seasons to see the changes; if you did more of those, that would be great!

That was what my friend did with the colors, which came out really great.

Thanks!

Kudos on a year in photos! You've done a wonderful job, even with simple objects like the candy above. (the green bow and your co-workers shoes also come to mind :~)

Keep me posted on your project ideas. I still have the drive to take pictues, but feel limited by the restraints of winter and not getting outside at length...

Well, I started in winter last year, and it was a challenge for a few weeks, but I ended up finding interesting subjects. Anything is camera fodder! :)

Thank you so much for carrying through the whole year! I've really enjoyed the trip, and hope I've conveyed that to you throughout! Whatever you do in '11, I'm sure it's going to be cool.

I meant to reply yesterday, but... I'm here now.

The other day, you mentioned wanting to let your eye "date other patterns and colors" besides leopard print.

How about a week or so of pattern-hunting? It need not be man-made patterns, but that could be included. You could look for patterns in water ripples, leaf shadows, stone paths, bird feathers... you know, just stuff.

You might end up accomplishing two goals with one project. :-)
