At least it waited until I was almost home before it started sticking.

I had lost one of my Yak Trax last week, and a new pair from mom arrived in the mail today. Yay, mom! Just in time. And these are clear frosted plastic instead of traffic-cone orange.

I hope all of you who are traveling in this storm are/get safely home!

Now there's a much needed shot of pretty! Snow here as well, plus some serious sleet, thunder and lightning. And the snow is supposed to keep going through the night... So (forgive my ignorance) what are Yak Trax?

They're rubber traction thingies that slip on over your boots to keep you from slipping on ice and snow. They really work!

Jealous of the thundersnow - lots of people on LJ and Facebook have been reporting it, but we didn't get it.

Yes, it popped off my boot and I didn't notice until I was halfway home. :(

I don't think I've ever been more ready for winter to be over. It's rare that we get this much snow, and storms so often.
