I fell asleep watching TV last night, and was consequently wide awake at 1:30 a.m. I hate when that happens.

I found out that Comedy Central doesn't bleep its comedians in the middle of the night. Also, Dane Cook is quite vulgar.

ami_1 came for a visit this afternoon, bearing a 'new' Mac G5 that coyotegrrrl18 had procured for me. Squee!




We then had lunch at the Tavern, which was lovely. Both of us were undecided between the burger and the reuben, so we got one of each and split them. Yum.




I got my G5 set up, then couldn't figure out how to open the disc drive, so I called B and we figured it out. My keyboard isn't a Mac one, so we tried all the function keys until one worked. I got my internet software installed (and the Nikon as well), and I'm good to go. Whee!

So now I'm tweaking and playing with my new toy. :D

There wasnt' a disc in there; I couldn't figure out how to open it to insert one. There's no little button like on the G4. Turns out the solution is the F12 key. :)

Odd, I haven't had a Mac that didn't slot load in 15 years. I didn't know they made them still. Up there it should have been congrats not contests damned spell check!
