out and about

The lovely sunshine coaxed me out of the house this afternoon. I wandered over to Grandmothers' Garden, where everything is still covered in snow. Last year at this time, green things were poking out of the ground.






I then wandered downtown, where I saw the strangest thing. I had to cross the street and get a picture.




I think it was an invader from the Barber Planet, coming in peace to give you a trim.

The icy stretches of the sidewalks were most annoying, but in places where the ice and snow were melting, lovely patterns were revealed.




Three weeks until the Spring Equinox.

Well, we did get an awful lot of it! It's been too cold to all melt. This isn't usual for us.

The alien barber just tickled my fancy. :)
