Today is the 14th anniversary of my dad's passing, so I wore his old jacket today. My mom remembered, before she gave away all his clothing, that I'd always loved this jacket. It's from Reed's in Albany, so I must have been just a kid when he bought it.

It's hard to believe that it's really been 14 years. It doesn't seem like it's been that long since I've seen him. He still shows up in my dreams occasionally, and it never seems strange to see him there.

Another anniversary today is the birth of one of my favorite people I've never met in person, pkmorrison. Happy birthday, my lady! We should all look so good when we reach your age. ;)

It's a lovely thing, to keep his memory alive by wearing his jacket.

I often dream of dead relatives and pets. I like to think they're coming to visit me and say 'hello'.

I dreamed of Polly the cat last week (who passed away) in January. I hope this means she's made it safely into the realms of the Kitty Ancestors...
