rainy day

I thought I'd make it out before the rain started this morning, but by the time I got dressed, it had already started. I went out anyway. If you look closely at the bubbles, you can see my umbrella reflected in them.

Despite the walk this morning, I have wicked cabin fever. Probably because it's March, and spring fever has begun its inevitable tug on my soul. I keep wandering from window to window, hoping to see something different this time. Alas, it is still grey and rainy out there.




I keep plugging away at my Photoshop lessons; I'm up through lesson 6, which was Layers. I get a little thrill when what I do matches the picture in the book. *g*

I was going through more of my books to weed out the ones I want to donate to the library sale, and found a collage Willow had made for me when she was little. It had pictures of my cat, my roommate's cat, and her cats (along with an adorable picture of her when she was two). It's still hard to believe she's in college now!

I suppose I ought to try doing something useful now. *sigh*

I was out in the rain trying for bubbles as well today ~ and laughing because I'm sure my neighbors think I'm nuts! You managed a much better capture than I did ~ how cool to see all the little umbrellas!

I noticed the little reflected umbrellas right away, though I never notice that sort of thing myself when I'm composing the shot. Someone complimented me on a reflection in a tea pot in one of my recent photos and until they pointed it out, I hadn't seen it. :)

Fortunately, a lot of it is melting. My friend in Vermont said they've gotten 21" (and counting) since yesterday, though. Eek, is all I can say.
