thankful

I'm not sure exactly what kind of flower this is; it's some sort of weeping fruit tree (apple? cherry?), and it's just starting to bloom. In a couple of days, it will be lovely indeed. If it's sunny on Monday, maybe I'll walk over there again and get a picture.

It's going to be a rainy weekend, so I don't expect to get to do much exploring. I'm just thankful that the worst-case scenario didn't happen, and I can breathe. And sleep. And, possibly, eat. Someday, I might be able to talk about it. Right now, it's too tender to touch. My knees have barely stopped shaking.

Now, I can look forward to my trip to NYC next weekend. I thank the gods every day for wonderful friends who take care of me.
