growing like weeds

The cygnets are hitting that gangly, tween stage. No feathers yet, but their necks are getting longer and their feet bigger. They're starting to curve their necks like their parents do, too.

They came up out of the pond as I was walking over, so I just followed them around. Just like the goslings, they'd take a few steps then plop down and start chowing on grass. Little eating machines, which at the rate they're growing, they'd have to be.

I checked out Staples in the plaza next to the park, and they had laptop power cords for about $40, which is more than I wanted to spend. Argh. I'll check out Radio Shack later, but something tells me they won't be any cheaper there. I did look on Craigslist last night; nothing there. There aren't any here at the office, either. *sigh* Ah well, it was free, I shouldn't complain. But I was hoping to not have to spend any money on this.

yes, I've never understood why laptop cables are so expensive. It's really frustrating as if/when your cable breaks, you pretty much *need* get a new one else you lose the use of the laptop within a couple of hours ...

Fortunately I've previously lived in a house where everyone's had laptops, and over time replaced them, so I've collected quite a few cables which all seem to fit my laptop ...

Yes! They're growing like weeds. :)

I found one at Radio Shack, for only ten bucks! I had part of the unit, I only needed the actual cord. Yay. :)
