Apparently the earthquake that happened in Virginia was felt by a lot of people in New England. Not by me. I was taking this picture right around the time it was happening. The butterfly said nothing about it, either.

Everyone I know in the quake area has been heard from and is OK.

Of all the earthquakes that have been felt in my area, I only ever felt it once. It woke me up, shaking my bed, not long after I moved into this apartment. That one was, I believe, centered somewhere in the Adirondacks.

While it's not unheard of to have them in this part of the country, it makes big news because one expects them in places like California or Japan, but not here. Kind of like tornadoes. *g*

Beautiful photo! I especially love how the color of the butterfly goes with the flowers.

AS for the quake... I was sleeping late and dreaming of riding down a river on a matteress, only to wake and find my bed actually shaking in real life. Quite an interesting way to start a day :~/

It's a disconcerting way to awaken! The time it happened to me, my first thought was that my place was haunted. *g*
