[Poll #1784551]

ETA What I'm looking for is what you think people will buy. It won't do me much good if I make something really cool that nobody wants to spend their money on! :)

River/creek shots. You have so many awesome ones.

Or ice shots. You have some great ice shots, too.

Or anything. I love all your work. :D

LOL! Thanks, but that doesn't help me make up my mind! ;)

What about sunsets?

You do some really awesome sunsets!

Ooh, that's a good idea. I'm going to have to do a half dozen calenders at least! ;)

I'm going to second that river/creek suggestion... Although, what popped into my head before I saw that suggestion was:

Reflections in water (ponds, creeks, puddles on the sidewalk, etc). Because then, you can follow the seasons through your images (because reflections in ice count) -- and you can include the swans and those darling cygnets in the summer without "breaking" your theme.

Not a bad idea, but would people *buy* it? That's really my concern.

Well, you did get two different people to suggest the idea off the top of their heads, so my guess is that they would -- especially if they're looking for something unique and artsy. It would help, of course, to give it an intriguing title that told them the theme. Some suggestions: "Quiet Reflections," "Reflections on the Year," "Ripples and Light," or even, maybe (to appeal to the Inner Child of the grumpy office worker): "Puddle Jumping and Daydreams".

Besides, check out the greeting card section of your supermarket, sometime; images of water reflections are all over the sympathy and friendship cards.

Besides, a "reflections in water" theme would not be just the water, and nothing else (though you might want to do a couple, just to add some variety). The pictures would also show the actual thing being reflected -- so you'd get trees in there, and sky, and swans, and bridges, and flowers, and... but the reflections would be a unifying theme.

True. I'll have to look through my pix and see what I can come up with. :)

BTW, I think that photo you took this week of that statue of two children under an umbrella, in front of that recent rain puddle would make a good example of the theme...

I have no idea what other people would buy, but in my own calendars I like striking, beautiful images. So I would say assorted images, or maybe flowers if you want to focus on something specific.

Just realized, oh yeah, my default userpic is a flower, so obviously I have a flower bias!

I do too. I think I'll probably go with the "assorted images" option, with lots of flowers. ;)
