I have a cold. Ugh. I hate being sick. It started with a scratchy throat on thursday, and blossomed into a full-blown cold yesterday. I barely made it through the day, thanks to Triaminic and Advil. I haven't really slept for two nights. I know, poor me, boo hoo. I think stress finally got the best of my resistance. So it's chicken soup & orange juice for me today. Which I have to go out & get. Ugh.
I was supposed to go to a pool party in RI today, which ain't gonna happen. I feel badly about that; I really wanted to see everyone. But I'm just not up to it, and I don't want to make everyone else sick too.
In other news, I found out the other day that we don't have the site we thought we had for Pagan Pride Day. Someone screwed up royally. But we do have the town Common in Amherst, which is really cool. Lots more exposure, and there are tons of Pagans in that area that might not have made the trek to Russell. So it's a good thing, after all. The one who screwed up is still persona non grata, though. I doubt we'll see her face again.
A while back, my HPS asked me to sell her graphics tablet on ebay. I offered it to folks on various lists I'm on, and someone from the PVP list responded. I met her on tuesday, and I like her a lot. We agreed that we were sick of (and baffled by) all the squabbling on the PVP list. She said she'd like to do ritual/magickal work, which excited me because I haven't been able to get any interest going in doing real ritual and magick. Yay! When I got home, I started a new yahoo list and invited her and Gisela. They suggested a couple of other folks, whom I then invited. This is an invitation-only list, for serious magickal folks in the area. We've already had a good discussion going on magickal tools! I want to talk with John about holding classes and/or rituals & workings at his store. I'll wait until he's settled in his new space.
OK, off to take more drugs and veg in front of the TV. Hopefully later I can get up the energy to go out for OJ & soup. At least I have the weekend to recover.
