lizziebelleIt's really hard to concentrate on work (obviously) when I have a million and one things to do before I leave for Brushwood. I keep thinking of little things I have to remember to pack. Last night after I turned out the lights, I thought of Lysol (to spray the tent for mildew). I almost got up again to get it out of the closet. Fortunately, I remembered it this morning when I got up. Sheesh!
Today is "Complain to LizzieBelle Day." I keep getting calls from people complaining about this or that. One was a whiny customer who wanted me to give him a credit for his ad this week because he didn't get any calls. Give me a break! I told him that's a bad precedent; if everyone who complains about not getting calls gets a credit, we'd go out of business. I told him he'd have to talk to Tom, and I told Tom not to do it. Especially after I looked in the sales diary and I had given him a free week and a free border around his ad in January for the very same reason. What a whiner! I can't help it if nobody is interested in his services right now. For heaven's sake, a lot of people are on vacation right now. And I will join those ranks in a couple of days!!! Thank goodness... I really need a vacation!
Got some sorta bad news today; we didn't get the Westfield fairgrounds for our Ren Faire. Boo! The BMX people wanted it, and they get preference because they've been there before. The only other open weekends there are in July & August, which is bad because it competes with other faires, and it's too durn hot to be wearing garb. Drat drat drat! Now we have to start from square one. I'd like to have a fairgrounds; that's what the VT folks had, and it was a nice layout. Plus, having food & real bathrooms would be really nice. I hate porta-potties. Which I will be using next week. But! I will be at Brushwood.
