back home again

Got home a little while ago. It's always good to get back home. I had coffee (decaf, of course) on the terrace with my sister this morning. That was nice. I would love to have a terrace. Being on the first floor, that would be a bit difficult.
Stopped at the bakery where my mum works on the way home, and she loaded me up with day-old rolls and cookies. Oh, my. Those are definitely going to work with me tomorrow. Can't have those sitting around the house, where I might eat them all.
The trip home was mostly uneventful. I drove by Hopkinton on 495, and they had the exits blocked. I guess the town is full. *g* There was quite a backup coming off the pike, too. It's a good day for a marathon: cool and cloudy, not hot & sunny. I always feel badly for the runners when it's hot on marathon day.
I'm thinking a nap would be in order, then a nice long walk. I was going to make brownies, but now I don't need to. I can just have a cookie. :)
