rainy, grey & dreary

lizziebelleIt's cold, raw and rainy today. Perfect day to stay in bed, which I was sorely tempted to do but I really need to get stuff done today, since I was mostly a slug yesterday. I'd really rather not go anywhere, but I do need to pick up some bread for lunches this week, so out I must go. Fortunately, I have two grocery stores less than a mile away.
I watched the latest version of Pride and Prejudice last night, and I liked it. Keira Knightley is just luminous. She's such a good actress, really amazing for her age. Which is young enough to be my daughter. Eek. Anyway, the costumes, scenery, and sets were great. I loved the scene where she was wandering around Darcy's house, with a look of wonder on her face. There was a nice little extra on the DVD about Jane Austen, too.
Sigh. I suppose I should get dressed and go out now.
