Once again, I failed to sleep in this morning. At least I got in a nap yesterday! I did, however, Get Stuff Done this morning. I just threw the fourth load of laundry in the dryer (getting out all my summer stuff-- yay!) and washed a bunch of dishes.
I watched The Good German last night, which was OK but not great despite the presence of George Clooney and Cate Blanchett. An interesting experiment in filmmaking, but not a great film. It was odd to see a movie that looks 60 years old, but with sex and foul language. It was also odd to see Tobey Maguire playing a not-so-nice character.

It's getting more an more cloudy out there, looking as if the forecast for thunderstorms is going to hold true. It's just as well that I don't have outside plans today.

Friday at last
May. 25th, 2007 10:45 amTired, tired, tired. So glad that this is a three-day weekend. I plan (hope) to sleep. I went to bed early last night, and I'm still tired. I wonder if it's an allergy thing; I've been a bit congested & sneezy, but not overly affected by all the pollen in the air. Last week was worse. *shrug*
We're having a cookout today with all the leftovers from the last one. It's one of the reporters' last day, so it'll be a nice sendoff for her. I brought cookies.
I'm also going to try to get to the movies this weekend. I still haven't seen the new Spider-Man. I think I'll wait for Pirates... that one's going to be crazy this weekend.
I got George Clooney *and* Hugh Jackman in the mail yesterday; it's amazing how they fit in those little red envelopes! *g* I'll be spending the weekend with them. Mmmmmmmm-hmmmmm....

Paramount Studios sent eighty-something copies of An Inconvenient Truth to our newspaper, and the editor, Mike, came up with a neat way of giving them out: if people bring in a donation to the local food bank, they get a copy of the DVD. Now I know how many people who work here that don't read our paper; for the past few days, everyone's been asking why there is a box of food sitting in the front office. I tell them to go read Mike's column. :P
Speaking of global warming, it's frakking sixty degrees out in the middle of November! I have yet to wear a coat this season. A couple of days I wore a wrap, but only needed it first thing in the morning. While it's kind of nice not to have to wear a coat, it's also kind of scary.
