It never did rain here today, despite the forecast. Flowers at the cemetery were nonetheless dewy. It was a weird sort of morning, not quite misty and not quite sunny, but a little bit of both. I saw a black dog by itself running through the cemetery, and did not take it as an omen. Professor Trelawney would disagree, I am sure. As it ran from me when I called it, I am certain it was not the Grim. Also, it was wearing a pink collar.
After finishing four loads of laundry, I walked down to the library as it continued not to rain. I now have lots of clean turtlenecks and leggings, and HP #5 on CD.
I went to the store to pick up sweet potatoes and a few other items, and it was blessedly not busy there. I think I caught it between the after-schoolers and the after-workers.
One more workday to get through, then I am off for four whole days. Sounds good to me.

Apr. 13th, 2008 09:59 pmI watched North by Northwest tonight, and I find myself wondering what the fuss is all about. I didn't think it was any great shakes. The dialog was stilted, the characters didn't act like real people do, and the story was full of holes. Even Cary Grant couldn't save it in my eyes. I felt the same way about Citizen Kane. But then I often disagree with the masses when it comes to movies. I thought Buckaroo Banzai was a work of genius. *g*

I'm feeling restless today... I really want to go outside, exploring and taking pictures, but yet again it is dreary & grey. I have a million things to do around the house. Bleah. Wish me luck, I'm diving in!

I watched The Good German last night, which was OK but not great despite the presence of George Clooney and Cate Blanchett. An interesting experiment in filmmaking, but not a great film. It was odd to see a movie that looks 60 years old, but with sex and foul language. It was also odd to see Tobey Maguire playing a not-so-nice character.
I'm off to central Mass. today to do

It's getting more an more cloudy out there, looking as if the forecast for thunderstorms is going to hold true. It's just as well that I don't have outside plans today.
Enjoy your Sunday!

Heck, I've already read the Sunday paper. *g*
This afternoon, I have to find the energy to clean the kitchen & bathroom, and put away all that laundry.
Happy Easter to those of you who celebrate!

Now, to decide what to do with the rest of the bedroom. Some of the stuff I can move on my own, but I'm eventually going to need help moving the dresser (once I decide where to move it). Well, I could probably do that myself if I cleaned it off and took out all the drawers, but that's a job for another day. Little steps: that's the way to do it. :)
Plus, it's laundry day. Second load is in the dryer now.
It's amazing what a difference a good night's sleep (and quiet!) makes.
