Bit by bit, we're finally getting some spring. I took a walk along the river today, and found more signs of winter's demise and spring's arrival.



The turtles were out in force, lining every log sticking out of the water.



Even the skunk cabbage is a welcome sight.



Not a lot of flowers yet, but the bees are happy with the dandelions.



I had the windows open today, and it felt wonderful. I am very happy that winter is in the past. Hard to believe that Beltane is only two weeks away! Before long, we'll have apple blossoms and lilacs. Ahhhhh, spring.

My neighbor's daffodils are finally fully open. So cheerful, especially since almost nothing else is blooming yet. Most things are barely budding.

The pussy willow is just starting to bud, too. We really need a few warm days to get things going around here.

Oh! And I saw my first bee of the year. She was on a crocus, but she was too quick for me to get a picture. Always good to see bees, especially after the hard winter we had.

They may have found a cause for the honeybees that have been disappearing. You'd think they'd learn, wouldn't you, not to import insects from other continents.
