The loonies were out in force today, calling and coming into the office. I had one guy who insisted that we publish Life After 50, and his email was bouncing. I said we don't, he said we did, and after a bit he figured out that he'd called the wrong paper. He writes for them, and he *still* called the wrong place. Sheesh.

Then I had a lady come in and tell me how nice it is outside, and I should go out. Um, yeah. I'll get right on that. :P

Then I had a woman call, and then come in, wanting to place an ad for a friend whose daughter gave away the dog while she was in the hospital. I got the whole sordid story, including the daughter's alcoholism. Really TMI. I managed to whittle it down from 53 words to 24 while avoiding any possible lawsuits, and then she said thanks, I'll tell my friend. That's at least half an hour of my life that I'd like back, please.

I'm hoping to get through the remaining 15 minutes of the workday without having to deal with any loonies. Please?

If I didn't know better, I'd swear that today was the full moon. I'm just sayin'. They're out in force.
