Aug. 7th, 2008 07:46 pmAlmost through week 2 of coworker's vacation, and am I ready for it to be over. I have a birthday day off coming, and I think I'll take it next Friday if I can. A long weekend would be nice.
I *must* do laundry this weekend. Which means Saturday, since I'll likely be going to the Lammas Games on Sunday. I think. Do I want to go? I'm feeling strangely ambivalent about it. But then I'm feeling ambivalent about most things lately. I'm finding it hard to be excited about anything. Beaten down. Burnt out. Tarred and feathered.
It's been thundering since I got home, but it has yet to rain.
My phone has been acting up. It keeps telling me that the line is on hold. Yet my DSL is working fine... WTF? The phone company said that if the problem was inside and not outside, it would cost me $91 for the first half-hour and I don't remember how much after that. I said, I don't think so. Can I still get DSL if I cancel my phone line? Must look into that.
I stopped at the farm stand on the way home last night, and bought a huge ripe tomato and wild blueberries. I had a tomato sandwich for dinner yesterday and today, and the berries on my Cheerios this morning. I am chock full of antioxidants!
