The weirdest thing happened at work today. We heard a boom out in front of the office, like something exploding or hitting the building. It was really loud, and we felt the concussion. I jumped up and ran outside to see what it was, along with several of the tenants. One of the publishers came running up the driveway to see as well. There was a garbage truck that had pulled over across the street, and the driver got out and walked around it, talking on the phone. Everyone kept asking what happened, but nobody could see anything unusual. The driver got back into his truck and pulled away, mystery unsolved. We all wandered back to work, and then someone said he had looked out the back door after the boom and had seen a puff of dirt or rust behind the truck, so he thought that maybe something exploded inside it, like an aerosol can or propane tank. That's the best explanation anyone could come up with. Weird.

A couple of hours later, the massage therapist tenant came in and asked if a meteorite had hit the building. He said that's what it sounded like, and that it had hit right over his head. I told him that if one had, it would probably have come right through the ceiling and hit him. *g*

So, a little excitement for a boring Wednesday. :)
