It doesn't feel like Christmas Eve. I suppose it will when I get to my mom's, but right now it just feels like a day I have to get a lot done. I've already done a load of laundry, walked down to CVS and back, and wrapped up all the gifts I'm giving.

That kitty was in the window again, and this time she woke up and posed for me.

kitty! )

She's a real sweetie, isn't she? According to the sign on the door, the two cats are named Ethel and Louise. I wonder which one she is?

If you celebrate, I hope you have a very lovely holiday!

I had a visitor at my desk today, as you can see. Boo kitty is growing like gangbusters, and now weighs probably what my Robin did fully grown. She rather likes my desk, especially the corner with Edgar Allen, and this pile of paper. She was purring away as I was talking with customers on the phone this morning.

Kitti also came to visit, with her new doggie Leonardo. Boo didn't like Leo very much, but Leo loved everyone here. He followed me to the fax.

Yes, this place *is* a zoo, why do you ask? *g*

Our system went down this morning for about an hour, and Friday morning is just about the worst time that could happen. A couple hours later and it would've been a disaster. Eek! At least I had a purry kitty to make things better. :)

Classifieds are done, so I'll be getting out on time today (whew!). This is probably the last weekend in quite a while without plans elsewhere, and I plan to take full advantage. The weather is supposed to be nice, so I'll be out & about with my camera for sure.

Have a great weekend, everyone!

kitty likes poinsettias

Kitty! She's growing like gangbusters, and is very mobile now. I chased her all over the conference room, trying to get a picture. Silly beast would not sit still! When I picked her up, she squeaked. Here, she's checking out the poinsettia on the counter. Right after I took this, she tried to leap (fly?) off the counter, but I grabbed her before she was airborn. What is it about small critters (humans included) that makes them think they are indestructible?

ETA: Don't worry, she didn't eat the plant. I'm pretty sure that poinsettias being toxic to cats is a myth, but we wouldn't have let her eat it anyway. :)

kitty & me

So, yes, I got out of work early. Yay! Here is a pic of me holding the kitten. Click the link to see two more. She's so tiny! She took a nap on my lap, and then became very interested in all the shuffling papers as I did the proof. She then played with my pen, my fingers, and the cord to my headset. She also charmed a customer who came in to make a payment. Hee!

At this moment, I have a teeny tiny kitten on my lap! It's the coworker's kitty that I mentioned the other day. I took pix (and Diane took one of me holding her)(we think it's a her). I will post them after I get home.

I'm here by myself (except for kitty, of course) for the remainder of the day. Diane has gone home, and Kim is off. I asked boss lady if I could close up the office and go home if I get done early, and she said yes. So I'm hoping to be done early!

OMG, this kitten is so darn cute! She's stretched out in my lap, sleeping like a baby. She's so tiny! Diane said I should ask my landlord if I could have one in my apartment. You know, I just might. Doesn't hurt to ask, right?
