I'm sure most of you have heard the AIG bonuses story, about how millions are being paid out in bonuses after they received millions in aid from the government. There's a story here about how the government is trying to stop this. I sure hope they are successful.

Since when are 'bonuses' part of contractual pay? Aren't these the same folks who got us into this mess to begin with? How could they possibly have made enough money for the company to warrant a bonus? If they did, why are they still asking the government for bailout money?

Every single person who accepts a bonus should be a)handed a pink slip, and 2)have their names and phone numbers or email addresses publicly posted. Seriously. They should be ashamed.

I found the "contact us" page at the AIG website, and I sent them a message stating my views, and that they will never, EVER get my business. Maybe if enough people do this, they'll get the message. It can't hurt to try. Pass it on! Show your outrage!
