I had a pretty good morning: a decent monthly review (I've found the secret is to come in with ideas and energy), a couple of good sales, and a pretty positive attitude. After lunch, it all went downhill. That nerve in my neck decided to act up again, leaving me in agony. Advil, cold packs, and pressure helped, and now it's more manageable. For an hour or so, I was pretty cranky. Ow.

I've also been fighting off periodic bouts of anxiety, which rear their ugly heads (they are multiple, yes) at various times of the day and night (I woke up with a pounding heart the other night after a particularly vivid anxiety dream). Some days I just want to take a vacation from being me. In Vegas, preferably.

well, look at that, originally uploaded by Lizzie~Belle.

My neighbor's daffodils are once again ahead of the curve. It helps that they're planted right next to the building, on the south-facing side. A cheering sight, for sure.

I've spent most of the weekend in a haze of pain, caused yet again by that pinched nerve in my neck. It convinces my teeth on the left side that they have toothaches, so it hurts from my teeth to my shoulder. Lots of Advil, tea, and heating pads have helped a little. I do hope I can sleep tonight, because right now I'm exhausted from waking up every couple of hours from the pain.

I had planned a trip to Trader Joe's this weekend, but since I can't really eat anything, it would be a waste. Maybe after work some night this week, instead. I do have to go to the store, though, because I don't really have anything I can eat right now. Just about everything I have hurts to chew. :(

I don't even want to think about the snow that's forecast for tomorrow. :P

Today was not a pleasant day around the Reminder HQ for World Domination. It started with someone leaving because she'd had enough (no, not me) and ended with a call to FedEx over a botched Holiday Gift Guide. I was on the periphery of all this, but the atmosphere was tense, to say the least.

At lunchtime, I popped on my earbuds and headed out for a walk in the park. The poor swan looks so lonely; she kept coming over to me as I circled the pond, and at one point she was being followed by a duck, who looked equally lonely.

At least the intense neck pain hasn't come back, although my sciatic nerve was bothering me on the drive home tonight. Geez, aging sure sucks!

If you've been thinking about getting my calendar, but putting it off, your procrastination has paid off. Lulu sent me a discount code today. Enter CALENDARVIP305 at checkout, and you'll save 40%! I can't use it myself, but you can. If I sell enough of them, maybe I can afford to buy one. *g*

Tomorrow is supposed to be stellar, with sunshine all day and temps in the 60's. I'm very much looking forward to that.

Have a wonderful weekend!

Sharp, like the pain in my neck, shoulder and jaw last night that kept me from getting to sleep at anything resembling a decent hour. I suspect a pinched nerve or something of that sort. Ouch.

Today it is much better, though still stiff and a little sore. At least I no longer feel like I have a toothache from my jaw to my shoulder.

I think the headache that wouldn't quit was a harbinger of last night's pain. :(

Here's something soft, instead.

Mrs. Prissy seems to be on her own, which probably means they couldn't catch her again. I do hope they make a better effort this year, and don't wait until she gets frozen into the pond again. That would be very upsetting.
