snowstorm!

They just announced that the office is closing at 3:00 because of the snow. It's really coming down! Hard to believe it was 50 degrees yesterday. That's March in New England for ya. I'm not looking forward to the drive home. Honestly, I think it would probably be better at 5:00, after they've had a chance to plow and more traffic has gone through. But I'll grit my teeth and do it. Get it over with.

I'm kinda glad, though, that I don't have to spend those two hours next to my coworker. She's getting on my nerves again. She has got to take a chill pill. Either that, or a Midol.

If I'da known they were going to close early, I wouldn't have taken a full hour for lunch!

As, I hope, are all of you! It took me over an hour to get home (usually about a 40-minute drive). I really didn't think I was going to make it up the hill in West Springfield. The roads were just awful. The rain this morning made a lovely layer of ice under the snow. When I got home, I made myself some hot cocoa and read some Stephanie Plum. Of course, I had to call me mum to let her know I was safely at home. She does worry so. It was still raining in Canton.

The plow guy came an hour or so after I got home. I went out to move my car so he could clear out around me. Now I won't have to shovel out tomorrow, unless we get a lot more snow tonight. So far, it hasn't accumulated any more.

I had to stop halfway home and clear off the wipers. They were crusted with snow & ice, and not clearing off the windshield. Being able to see the road is a good thing!
