Thursday is our Customer Appreciation thingy, and the big bosses have been obsessing about the state of the office all day. My cube is probably the neatest & cleanest it's ever been, and the whole front office has been cleaned & straightened. I guess it's Spring Cleaning Day at Reminder Publications! The trick, of course, is to keep it looking this good for the next three days.

That's Where I Want To Be Too

I'm looking at the picture and trying not to cry here at work. Not professional, you know.

I haven't been out of the &*($@#$ city in I-don't-know-how-long.

Minnehaha Falls Park is a nice park, but it's still in the middle of a city, and there's nowhere where you can reliably expect to be free of human interruptions for more than three seconds.

Yes, I didn't get a lot of sleep last weekend, so I'm a little more emotional than usual.

Awww, honey! Hugs! I don't think I could live in a city.

Hey, is that the park in War for the Oaks?

Thanks, sweetie.

Yeah, I believe so.

Ever since I've been living here, a friend of mine has been promising to lead a "War For The Oak" tour of the Twin Cities.

I ain't holdin' my breath.

Now that I think about it, though, it's time to reread that book.

Where was the photo taken? It's absolutely lovely. And yeah, can I get in on that nature walk?

It's the wildlife sanctuary at Stanley Park. You must come down to Westfield and I'll take you there. :)

My favorite place to be is in the woods. :)

Me, too!

I grew up in Tennessee, and there were woods all behind and around our house. Sometimes, I miss them sooooo much.

But, I've found an area here in LA County where there are lots of trees and wildlife, and lots of "green" energy that makes me happy.
