It's been a weird sort of Saturday. It's been chilly, rainy, and grey all day, so I stayed in and tried to get things done. Then I took a nap. Then I discovered that the Magic Eraser really does work amazingly well; nice to see something that lives up to its advertising. My stovetop is shiny and white again.

While I was tooling around on Facebook, I got a chat message from digitalt that said she was in London and had been robbed at gunpoint. After an initial reaction of "oh, no!" I then went immediately into skeptical mode. Um, why would she be on Facebook? Then she asked me for money, which I know the *real* digitalt wouldn't do. I mean, why? She said their plane was leaving in a couple of hours. Also, I'm pretty sure she knows I wouldn't have any to lend her. So I asked who was watching Molly, and she said that she came with them. Ding! I highly doubt that, since Molly is a dog. So I asked if I should call Bob, which was a total fake-out since we don't have a mutual friend named Bob. She said, "def." Bingo. I said, you're not Jen, nice try, and that was the end of the conversation. Nothing more. So I posted a warning. I can't figure out how to report it, since FB is so convoluted in the help department. If any of her nearby buds sees this, let her know to change her password! Pat B. said they tried it with her, too.

Then I went to Job Lot to pick up a few things (they often have great bargains on foody items), and saw this natural version of Lucky Charms that I almost bought, but thought better of it. When I got home and went back online, I find grrlfriday and my brother both posting about this same cereal. Hee!

I have some lovely asparagus (on sale!) that I'm looking forward to. What to make with it? That is the question of the day. Ooh, maybe one of those masala veggie burgers from Trader Joe's! That's the ticket.

Tomorrow is going to still be cold, but at least it'll be sunny, so I plan to get outside. Maybe I'll be able to find some forsythia or magnolia in bloom!

This is where I'd much rather be right now. Outdoors, in the woods, with lots of fresh air. Mmmmmm.

Thursday is our Customer Appreciation thingy, and the big bosses have been obsessing about the state of the office all day. My cube is probably the neatest & cleanest it's ever been, and the whole front office has been cleaned & straightened. I guess it's Spring Cleaning Day at Reminder Publications! The trick, of course, is to keep it looking this good for the next three days.

Since I was a slug yesterday, I rolled up my sleeves and started tackling the living room today. I moved a bookcase, tossed a bunch more stuff, and moved my papasan chair to where the bookcase had been. The room looks bigger, which was the point. Yay for more room! I was appalled at how dingy the carpet has become, having seen virgin carpet under the bookcase, so I must borrow my sister's steam cleaner next time I visit. Vacuuming just doesn't get all the dirt, and the carpet is an oatmeal-colored berber. I would've chosen something darker, if I'd had a say.

Depeche Mode nicely drowns out crazy neighbor's loud music, and is just peppy enough to help motivate me.

OK, now I must tackle the kitchen. That shouldn't take very long. :)
