swans and trees

That crazy swan down at Heritage Park decided today that he needed to cross the street, which is a very busy main thoroughfare, at lunchtime. I was sitting there reading when I heard horns tooting, and turned around to see him standing in the middle of the road. Just standing there. One intrepid woman got out of her car and tried to shoo him, which he responded to by trying to bite her. He finally did make it across; I sure hope the grass at the bank was tasty! A guy came out of the bank, took a picture, then went back in. It was all very entertaining. (I didn't make it there with my camera in time to catch him in the street)
I took a picture of one of my favorite trees yesterday, and I realized that I had pictures of it from the spring and winter:

I'll have to go back and get it in the snow. :)
