Friday blahs

I have the feeling that it's going to be a long afternoon. The person who usually lays out the classifieds is out, as is the person who is the usual backup. I'm hoping that the person who is laying them out doesn't wait until the last minute, so that we have time to fix things if need be. *fingers crossed* I really don't want to be hanging out way past 5:00, waiting for them to be done.

I went and did errands on my break, then sat in the park to read for a bit. I had to stop, because my eyelids were suddenly very heavy, and I was afraid I was going to fall asleep. I had one good night's sleep this week, but the rest have not been great. I'm starting to feel run-down, and that's not good. I'm thinking that I might have to stay home tomorrow night instead of heading out to the coven Midsummer, which I'd like to go to, but I also don't want to run myself into the ground.

Perhaps I'll just do a little private ritual, maybe at the park with the spirits of the trees, instead. I find that rather appealing. Midsummer is a time of faery magick, and I think the local sprites have been woefully neglected. I try to leave them little gifts (chocolate, whisky fudge, the occasional cookie) and let them know they're not forgotten.

And, hopefully, I'll get some sleep tonight. With all the faery magick abounding, that's not assured at all.

Do what you need to do tonight -- stay home if you're still feeling wiped out, and we'll be thinking sparkly thoughts for you! R. and I were in much the same space yesterday in terms of often on the verge of falling asleep, and I think it's because there's some kind of pollen or air quality thing going on.

Hmmm, I wonder if that's what it is? Usually my allergies manifest as itchy eyes and tickly nose. It makes sense, though.

I do think I'll stay home tonight... I'm just not feeling up to driving all that way. Give my love to the gang!
