overwhelmed

Sirius Rising is only two weeks away, and I'm feeling overwhelmed by all I have to do before I go. Not so much OMG, I'll never get it all done! but more OMG, I'd better get a move on! Fortunately, I have a three-day weekend between now and then to get a lot of it done. I've purposely not made plans for next weekend to accomplish this. Wish me luck!
I have to do laundry, pack, find everything I need (must remember to print out packing list!), weed out the stuff I don't need but take every year anyway, waterproof my boots, remember to take my camp chair out of the car, coordinate and finalize the menu with my campmates, remember to go to the post office to have my mail held, and a few other assorted tasks.
Whew! It makes me tired just thinking about it. I just have to keep reminding myself that it's all worth it. A whole week to hang out with my tribe in the woods! Mojito night! Pirate night! They're bringing back the Cotillion! Gyros from Phill's Grill! Snuggle dome! Oh, and
chalkhorse's wedding! I've lost count of all the weddings I've attended there. Six? Seven? Something like that. (BTW Peg, who's doing the ceremony?)
This afternoon is the Meet & Greet, then I'm off to Lakshmi's for Conjure Cinema. I'm staying overnight and going to mom's tomorrow to pick up my camping gear.
Oh, here's something that those of you who've known me a long time won't believe: Willow's taking Driver's Ed. Eek! Wasn't she just, like, five? She's doing Grease in Randolph this summer. When I was her age, I was in The Pajama Game. :)

Date: 2008-06-28 06:10 pm (UTC)Hey what night is Mojito night? Is it the same as pirate night? Too many events to keep track of!
Beth and Zeeb (the ones who decorate and sell their sculptures in the fairy grove) are doing our ceremony.
Who are you doing the meal plan with? I think it is just me and T. plus 3 or 4 extras for the weekend of the wedding; then whoever speaks up at mealtime. I miss doing the big meal potlucks, maybe we should bring back trash can turkey night! and Sunday potluck brunch!
