quiet Sunday

lizziebelleI actually slept until a little after nine this morning! That almost never happens. I was up late watching the Olympics, but not that late. It felt good.
Oh gods, I think I'm going to cry for the little Chinese girl (with fabulous purple eyeshadow, BTW) who just fell off the parallel bars. Get that camera out of her face! Sheesh.
Ahem. Yes, I'm multitasking. *g*
Anyhoo. I decided to stay home today, having been on the road every weekend for the last month. I just couldn't muster any enthusiasm for the Lammas Faire. I finished my laundry, then headed out for a walk in the woods. To see and read about my adventures, check out my photo blog.
The rain did finally come, while I was uploading my pix. Only a little, though; other nearby towns got hit harder. We've dodged the bullet a lot lately.
I made myself a steak for dinner, thanks to mom who brought me some on her last visit. I never buy steak, but every now & then it tastes good. Baby peas and red wine accompanied. Yum!
I love how, in the middle of a routine, the gymnasts suddenly remember to smile. *g*
