another visitor at the pond

I was earlier than usual this morning (no traffic - yay!) so I stopped at the park to walk around in the morning sunshine. This egret was stalking frogs on the other side, so I crept as close as I could get and zoomed the camera as far as it would go. Not the best pictures, but I'm glad I got a few of him. He was lovely.




When he decided I'd gotten close enough, he took off.



Which, of course, gave the swans the opportunity to steal the show.
