Google ads is trying to sell me George Clooney ringtones. What I want to know is a) what would a George Clooney ringtone sound like, and 2) how did they know? *g*

From E! online, George Clooney says this about Proposition 8:

"At some point in our lifetime, gay marriage won't be an issue, and everyone who stood against this civil right will look as outdated as George Wallace standing on the school steps keeping James Hood from entering the University of Alabama because he was black."

You go, George! *g*

I'm finding myself being sucked into the Olympics. They're showing different and interesting sports so far. Who knew there was such a thing as synchronized diving? Not I.

I'm switching back & forth between that and ST:TNG. And doing my nails (color tonight: Brocade). Yes, another exciting evening at Chez LizzieBelle! *g*

Ooh! Commercial for new Coen Brothers/ George Clooney movie! You know I will be there.

I was hot today at work. Sold lots of ads, including three in a row for the Home Show map! Go me.

Speaking of hot, a coworker sent me a link to an awesome story about George Clooney. *sigh*

It included this picture )

*sigh*

Just when I think he can't really be that cool, here's proof that he is.

*sigh*

Oh, I tried taking pix of the eclipse last night with the Olympus. When I finish the roll, we'll see if they came out! It was an awesome eclipse.

Snow in the forecast for tomorrow. Pretty much an all-day thing.

*sigh*

My day chiefly consisted of one irritating thing after another, culminating in a dead car battery due to my having left the lights on all day. Nobody noticed until nearly 5:00, when Al called me from his car as he was leaving for the day. Yep, it was dead. Someone had jumper cables and we tried jumping it, but no go. I called AAA, and they said "ten to forty-five minutes," which turned out to be somewhere in the middle. It took a few tries, but we got my baby started, and he tested the battery and proclaimed it good. Thank you, AAA; thank you Mom for buying me AAA; thank you Sears for Die Hard batteries!

I'm having a grilled cheese sandwich for supper; comfort food is the best thing for this kind of day. I also have beer, given to me by a reader for whom I save the paper every week.

And! New Lost tonight!!! This makes me very happy.

Ooh, and George Clooney is on the news. He's an official UN envoy for peace! *sigh* He's so wonderful. *g*

Today is Cranky Day here at The Reminder. Everyone is cranky, for one reason or another. At least there is cake: one of the Nancys is having a birthday, and someone brought chocolate cake. Nancy even brought it out to us, the sweetheart! From now on, she will be known as the Good Nancy (there are four Nancys here).

It's not helping that the weather has once again turned crappy. The snow has already started, albeit very lightly, and visions of a difficult commute have reared in our heads. I do hope that it chooses to wait until we're all home before accumulating, if at all.

Some of the problems with the new software have yet to be fixed, and it's getting tiresome. I can't get a last run report or a sales report. We can't price legal ads. Yet another category has gone missing. *sigh*

At least my boys George & Johnny got nominated for Oscars... hopefully there will be an actual ceremony that we can watch. I do love to see George in a tux. He's so dapper.

Ooh, and to make my day, I just spoke with Elvis. Well, it was Ray, who is an Elvis impersonator. He just had a front-page story in the Valley Advocate, so I got to tell him what a great story it was. He was very pleased with it. He's doing a Valentine's Day show in Chicopee, and is putting in an ad.

So, cake, George, and Elvis made my day less cranky. *g*

Even though I'm really tired, sleep just isn't coming. I'm watching Ocean's Eleven for the umpteenth time. As much as I adore George, I'd really rather be asleep.
