Despite the heat, extreme traffic on the Pike, and computer problems, [livejournal.com profile] textiletart and [livejournal.com profile] ned_gasket's wedding ceremony finally happened yesterday, about two hours later than planned.

The ceremony was based on Indian traditions, as was the dress. D&G dressed in traditional Indian costume, and encouraged others to as well. It was a very colorful wedding.

I must be crazy, because I'm planning to be outside this afternoon for the 60th anniversary parade & celebration for Stanley Park. But how could I not go? It's one of my favorite places, and it's literally up the street from me. I will be seeking out shade and drinking lots of water. *g*

It was a lovely day for an outdoor wedding. [livejournal.com profile] anaquana and her beloved are now legally wed. Yay! Congrats to the happy couple. :)

It was nice to see & catch up with friends I hadn't seen in a long time, too. The only downside was that we seem to have been seated next to a vortex which caused every small child who passed through it to break into screaming fits. Other than that, it was a lovely afternoon. :)

I'm glad it was an early wedding. I'm bushed. Time to settle in with a movie, I think. :)

... because [livejournal.com profile] textiletart and [livejournal.com profile] ned_gasket got married yesterday! OK, I knew it was coming, because textiletart told me at Brushwood, but it was still a bit of a surprise. No fanfare at all. Big party next year, I hear. Congrats, guys!

I have a new sister-in-law!

It was a lovely day for a wedding, and Annapolis is such a pretty town. Brick everywhere, like a postcard wherever you look.

My brother cleans up good! The two of them looked so cute together, and the wedding itself was short & sweet. We all went to a brewpub for champagne, which they were totally unprepared for and we had to wait. Then us young 'uns left the moms and went for a walk down to the waterfront. Such a picturesque town! I took lots of photos, which I will post when I get home.

We went for dinner to the Treaty of Paris restaurant, which was amazingly good. The food was fantastic, the service was wonderful, and the chef came out to thank us. If you ever go to Annapolis, I heartily recommend it. I'm still stuffed! I think I've had enough crab to last me quite a while now. *g*

It did finally cool down, and it even rained this morning, but all afternoon was delightful. We're all beat, and I'm sure it will be an early bedtime for us tonight. Tomorrow is the party here, then back home on Sunday.
